GrooveShark.com (Review) - Listen to Music!

GrooveShark is a great website for music listeners! It is a free site and you can listen to any songs that you want. You can make a play list and discover all sorts of music. The website is pretty organized considering anyone can put their own music up for anyone to download. It is safe to use and has never caused any viruses or pop-ups to jump out at me. They make all their money like many other sites on the internet by advertising that you see on the side of the screen. You don’t have to pay because they get paid by clicks.

The legal side of it gets a little tricky because they say that they don’t actually put up the music and if people are found putting up music that isn’t theirs they will be removed. They claim that they want to pay you if you are on their site…All you have to do is check and see if your band is on there and then contact them and tell them you want to get paid for the number of times that the music got played….So it is shady and they are really just looking out for themselves. So, the ethical thing to do is just listen to see if you like a band and then go and buy the CD… Yet, I say that I can try on a pair of pants in the store to see if I like it, and I am able to look at artwork before I buy it so I can listen to music before I buy it to see if I actually like it. Then I buy the music for cheap but try to get artists some money for the work that they have done. So, check out other music sites, check this one out, and tell me what you think of Groove Shark

  3. I got it while I was in NI, but it's really great. Least, I think it is, and haven't found anything sketch with it. It deffo has its restrictions after the initial 6 months, but they're nothing too horrible.
